Dear All,

In the annexe H.2.3 step 2.2 of the ETSI TS 118 104 V1.0.0, I face an misunderstanding issue with the following CMDH processing description:

"If the message is a request message and any of the attributes 'requestContext', and 'requestCharacteristics' are present in the found [cmdhLimits] resources, discard all [cmdhLimits] resources from the list of found items for which the context conditions or the request characteristics at time of processing the request message are not met, respectively."
Here're my questions:

Question 1:
Concretely what are the contents of the cmdhLimits attributes 'requestContext' and 'requestCharacteristics' ?
To which parameters of the message are matched these two attributes ?.
(I didn't find any 'requestContext' and 'requestCharacteristics' into the request description given in section 7.1.1 of the same document).

Question 2:
What is the functional meaning of such processing description in step 2.2?
It seems to be an optimization during cmdh processing linked to the context at the moment of the processing (like signal strength, battery status,..) but I have difficulty to understand the mechanism of optimization.
Is there any concrete example that can help the understanding?

Thanks a lot for your help on the topic

Best regards
